Richfield girl recovering from accidental shooting
A 9-year-old Richfield girl continues to be in serious condition after she was accidentally shot in the stomach by her 8-year-old cousin. The cousin, sitting with the girl in the back seat of a car traveling through downtown Salt Lake City, apparently found a .45-caliber handgun. While he handed the firearm out went off. a single round going through the young girl’s abdomen. Richfield police said the incident occurred just before 4 p.m.
